Nestled between the iconic Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town offers breathtaking views, beautiful beaches, and a lively waterfront that attracts visitors from around the world. The city is also a melting pot of cultures, reflected in its world-class cuisine, arts, and historical sites, including Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. With a mix of outdoor adventures, vibrant neighborhoods, and rich history, Cape Town captivates every traveler.

Namibia

Namibia is a unique African country highlighted by its capital, Windhoek, where modern architecture meets colonial charm, offering a blend of cultural experiences. The country is renowned for its stunning sand dunes, particularly in the Namib Desert, where the towering orange peaks create a dramatic landscape perfect for exploration and photography. The Himba people, known for their distinctive red ochre body paint and intricate hairstyles, embody Namibia’s rich cultural traditions, showcasing a pastoral lifestyle that remains connected to their heritage. Together, Windhoek, the dunes, and the Himba culture create a captivating experience for visitors seeking both adventure and cultural immersion.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1/2

Depart Newark International Airport on Ethiopian Airlines. Arrive to Windhoek, Namibia. Transfer to the Hilton Hotel. Later on in the evening, we will explore the local night life.

Day 3

We will have our Windhoek city tour. A day tour of Windhoek typically begins with a visit to the Independence Memorial Museum, where visitors can learn about Namibia’s history and struggle for independence. Next, travelers often explore the vibrant local markets, such as the Craft Centre, where they can purchase authentic Namibian crafts and souvenirs. A stop at the iconic Christ Church, known for its unique architecture, provides a glimpse into the city’s colonial past. Namibia has also been considered an ideal retirement/ repat destination, so we will schedule real estate viewings.

Day 4

We will visit the city of Okahandja, Namibia. In Okahandja, Namibia, we will explore the vibrant local markets, where artisans sell traditional crafts and handmade goods, providing a glimpse into the culture and creativity of the Herero people. Additionally, the town’s rich history can be experienced through guided tours that delve into its colonial past and significance in Namibia’s struggle for independence.

Day 5

We Will check out of the Hilton Hotel early morning and depart to the city of Khorixas. There we will eat lunch at the iGowati Country Lodge and visit the Himba. The Himba tribe is renowned for their distinctive customs, particularly their use of otjize, a mixture of butterfat and ochre, which they apply to their skin and hair for protection against the harsh desert climate. They maintain a semi-nomadic lifestyle, raising cattle and living in traditional villages, while preserving their rich cultural heritage through music, dance, and intricate beadwork. Afterwards, we will head to our final stop in Namibia , Walvis Bay, and check in to the Protea Hotel Walvis Bay Pelican Bay.

Day 6

We will visit Sandwich Harbor. Sandwich Harbour, located on the Namibian coast, is a stunning natural wonder where the Namib Desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can experience breathtaking views of towering sand dunes that descend directly into the sea, creating a dramatic landscape. The area is also a hotspot for birdwatching, with numerous species, including flamingos and pelicans, flocking to the lagoon. Adventurous travelers can engage in activities such as 4×4 excursions, kayaking, or simply relaxing on the beach while enjoying the serene environment.

Day 7

We will go Visit Dune #7, one of the worlds tallest Dune. If you are adventurous enough to climb it you can, if not you can relax at the base. Afterwards, we will tour the historic city of Swakopmund.

Day 8

We will check out of the Protea Hotel Walvis Bay Pelican Bay, transfer to the Walvis Bay International Airport and head to Capetown, ZA. Transfer to the Old Bank Hotel. Later on in the evening, we will explore the local nightlife and experience Amapiano.

Day 9

We will visit Robben Island, located off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich history as a former political prison. Most famously, it housed Nelson Mandela for 18 years during the apartheid era, making it a powerful symbol of the struggle for freedom and justice in South Africa. Afterwards, we will visit The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (V&A Market) is a vibrant hub of shops, restaurants, and entertainment, set against the backdrop of the harbor and Table Mountain. The market showcases local crafts, delicious food, and live music, making it a must-visit destination for both tourists and locals.

Day 10

We will visit Table Mountain, a prominent flat-topped mountain overlooking Cape Town, is renowned for its breathtaking views and rich biodiversity, featuring over 2,200 plant species, many of which are endemic. Visitors can access the summit via a scenic cable car ride or by hiking several trails that cater to various skill levels. We will also visit the neighborhood of Bo Kaap and visit the Zeitz Mocaa Museum.

Day 11

Will be a beach day at Clifton Beach which is known for its stunning white sand, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range. The beach is comprised of four distinct coves, each offering a unique atmosphere, making it a popular destination for sunbathers, families, and water sports enthusiasts. It is also renowned for its vibrant social scene, especially during the summer months, when beachgoers enjoy picnics, sunbathing, and sunset gatherings. With its scenic beauty and lively ambiance, Clifton Beach stands out as one of Cape Town’s most beloved coastal spots.

Day 12

Check out of the Old Bank Hotel, transfer to Capetown International Airport to head home.
